The structure created by efficient steel scraping with Kuzmin™ Scraper gives skis with less friction (higher speed) and outperforms stone grinding. The need of wax application is highly reduced when skiing with steel scraped skis. In fact, most glide waxes have less gliding ability than steel scraped surface from start, but all waxes have less glide ability after a short distance.
Kuzmin™ 014 Universal - Of modified alloy and with the more aggressive edges’ geometry for more effective results. For optimal glide, there is an advantage of random patterns. This is confirmed by several tribological studies. Most effective at temperatures between +3 to -8 Celsius. You may also use a texture tool (riller), such XRiller, for maximum glide.

Kuzmin™ 014 Minus - Of modified alloy for more effective results. For a best possible glide, there is an advantage to have random patterns. This is confirmed by several tribological studies. For optimal structure at colder temperatures are an advantageous with a more even surface. Minus gives the same random structure as Universal, but the pattern on the ski base becomes less rough. The pattern retains the thin water film formed at colder temperatures. You may also use a texture tool (riller), such XRiller, for maximum glide. Most efficient at temperatures lower than -8 Celsius.
